It is important for humanity to evolve expertise in a diversity of energy technologies in the world, today. How energy technologies are deployed and maintained greatly determine their cost, availability and reliability. Kansas has a wholesale metering incentive that pays 150% the avoided-cost for renewable electricity. This allows BI-PV Solar Architecture to evolve upon a solid foundation for large-scale deployment via a non-profit deployment program called The K-SEC Model that will provide solar electricity for up to 10% of the electricity now consumed in Kansas by 2024.
Local K-SEC renewable cooperatives will lease consumer rooftops for fifty years. K-SEC will produce, install, monitor, maintain and manage our 1,010.5 MWp solar resource for fifty years. K-SEC electricity consumers need only pay their electric bills to rest assured they are helping reduce carbon emissions via their part in evolving 1,000 MWp BI-PV Solar in Kansas by 2024. In payment for leasing their roof, K-SEC consumers will be provided an equity exchange of battery back-up for fifty years. Other incentives include tax credits, limited incremental increases in their electric rates and USDA grants or low interest loans for structural modifications up to 25% of the total cost of the K-SEC BI-PV solar system. BI-PV Solar Architecture meets the land development banker's code of highest and best use of land.
