In 2000, Clint Eastwood was not provided his renewable energy incentives for the solar system he installed on his Tehama Golf Course in Monterey, California. He requested a meeting with California Governor Davis to request his 50% rebate and net metering be granted as contracted. Clint Eastwood in the famous scene "Make My Day. . . " reveals the heart and soul of my concern for venerable consumers attempting to evolve solar energy without the needed legislative and regulatory resources and infrastructure. How could industry analysts and regulators rationally expect fragmented venerable consumers to do what billion dollar energy cartels cannot? The goal is to develop and implement a strategy to evolve the needed BI-PV Solar Electric Industry infrastructure in the United States.
That is when the seed of local non-profit renewable cooperatives was planted in my thinking. The seed eventually provided the foundation for founding the Kansas Solar Electric Co~operatives, Inc. and The K-SEC Model. The goal remains strong as we wrestle with the chameleon face of a struggling energy industry identity. Consumers invest in their own demise environmentally and economically as they continue to want solar energy while they invest in coal stocks. One key to assure the needed transformation is to donate at least half of one's energy investments in BI-PV Solar Architecture. Read about K-SEC's million shares of non-profit stock offered at $10 each. Non-profit stock is better than a simple contribution and encourages involvement.
