Want to learn about BI-PV Solar Architecture?  Get a head start on training and certification enter the SOLAR PLAYHOUSEtm contest Spring 2011.

Members of the Topeka Homebuilders Association indicated they did not want to build playhouses this year where they had built doghouses last year.

Thus, K-SEC is compelling them to integrate BI-PV Solar on the doghouses they built last year.  The goal is to learn about solar energy, help K-SEC raise the resources it needs to build our BI-PV Solar Room Exhibit and have fun!

Develop  local BI-PV Solar expertise while you help evolve K-SEC's 1,000 MWp BI-PV Solar in Kansas by 2024 program.  Become a sponsor and/or build a Solar roof for the doghouse you built last year.  

Solar Doghouse additions must be completed by August 31st.   K-SEC will host the premier SOLAR DOGHOUSEtm schedule for September 2011 just in time to have our Solar Room Exhibit completed for a visit to the Kansas State Fair. 

All proceeds after expenses will go to the Kansas Solar Electric Co~operatives, Inc.  a non-profit deployment acceleration program dedicated to advancing solar energy in America.  We recommend lumber yards as sponsoring partners. 

K-SEC will use the proceeds to build our 2.5 kWp Mobile BI-PV Solar Room Exhibit.  The Exhibit will visit each County Seat in Kansas by December 2011. 

Topeka Home Builders Association have a dog-gone good head start where they built fancy dog houses for a fundraiser last year.  After a little experience and training adding solar systems to their fancy doghouses, they may be ready to get out of the doghouse and try a few beautiful Solar PlayhousesTM by 2012.

Kansas SOLAR PLAYHOUSEtm Exhibition and Silent Auction 2011   is a great hands-on way to learn about Building-Integrated PhotoVoltaics [BI-PV] and build awareness.   Like the solar car races solar playhouses could  become a tradition in Kansas.
